RADAN, by Vero Software, Reports a Successful FABTECH 2015

RADAN, a cutting-edge solution for the design and manufacturing of sheet-metal products, is excited to announce that its participation earlier this month in FABTECH 2015 resulted in its most successful show to date.

Billed as North America’s largest metal-forming, fabricating, welding, and finishing event, FABTECH took place Nov. 9-12 at McCormick Place in Chicago, Ill. RADAN was exhibited in a Vero-Software-dedicated booth, and was demonstrated in three individual partner booths.

Doug Wood, RADAN sales and services director, reports that a record breaking-number of leads were scanned at the event, which also marked the brand’s first opportunity to actively cooperate with parent company Hexagon Manufacturing Intelligence.

A robot manufactured with RADAN and designed to showcase features included within the latest release of the software, RADAN 2016, was exhibited at the show. Dubbed RADIC, the robot was featured on the main RADAN booth to generate enthusiasm for the latest release. RADIC has also made appearances at other trade shows around the world including the UK, Germany and France.

 “We were really trying to create some excitement,” Wood said. “Between the RADIC demo set that showed off the latest release and our active cooperation with Hexagon, I believe we achieved our goal.”

RADAN 2016 contains a number of major technological upgrades that improve CAD/CAM, Radbend, Radm-ax and Radtube functions.

RADAN 3D has seen the biggest change, with a new focused ‘selection mode,’ greatly increasing the efficiency in analyzing and preparing a 3D model or assembly for production. It also benefits from an even greater integration with Radbend.

Radtube 2016 offers more powerful nesting capabilities.
