The ALPHACAM computer-aided-manufacturing (CAM) solution for wood, metal and stone, by Vero Software, will be exhibited April 14-17 at Coverings 2015, hosted at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Florida.
As the largest tile and stone exhibition in North America, Coverings is a conference and exhibition that showcases the latest technologies and products by over 1,000 exhibitors from all over the world.
Participants in the event can learn more about ALPHACAM at Booth No. 2996, where demonstrations of its productivity-enhancing features will be presented.
The focus of the recently released ALPHACAM 2015 R1 is on helping manufacturers re-duce costs by streamlining design and production processes, thereby improving effi-ciency and profitability. Among the upgrades available in ALPHACAM are a new, advanced 5-axis machining mod-ule that includes a comprehensive set of strategies with advanced tool axis control and intelligent collision avoidance. This new functionality enables users to more quickly and accurately machine surface and solid models.
ALPHACAM’s new ribbon-bar interface enables users to quickly find the commands they need, as they are arranged in logical groups, assembled under tabs. The Quick Access Toolbar can be displayed above or below the ribbon bar and includes the most com-monly used commands, such as “open” and “save”. Users can customize the ribbon bar by adding their own favorites.
Significant updates to the ALPHACAM Project Manager, including specific icons for each operation type, give it a more contemporary look. Additionally, the new-look File menu now includes a “recent files page” that lists ALPHACAM and CAD parts files, and displays a preview image, along with their properties.
